Gabicci was first launched in 1973, after which it fast became an underground style leader. Gabicci established a look adopted by the Northern Soul music scene, later to appear in the early ‘terrace looks’ mostly by northern football fans. The retro revivals during the 90s meant that Gabicci styles were again being worn on the club scene, but in decreasing numbers as the original garments became increasingly rare, and with that, unreasonably pricey?!?
Through this association with the young music scene, from it’s Northern Soul roots right through to today’s Indie bands, Gabicci has been received by youth culture as an iconic brand.
Gabicci Vintage was relaunched 2007 and was received with open arms by our vintage 80s buyers reliving the 80s casual terrace revival. Set for today’s market, the look is ‘slim’ with quality yarns and fabrics used throughout the collection in rich and contemporary colours.
