It's getting hot in 'ere..

The current hot weather has prompted the summer's first 'heat health' warning from the Met Office. Forecasters say temperatures in London will increase steadily to reach about 32C by the end of the week. The remainder of the country will see temperatures rise to about 29C on Friday?!?

Fashicon wants to know how to best meet their customers needs and have therefore investigated what Europeans do when the weather turns steamy? Most spend the hot afternoons inside buttoned-up stone houses, preserving the cool of the morning. Others spend their days in Local Pubs with gardens areas. Many try to lay by the pool but with English skin so fair they only end up looking like a rock lobsters ..and a very small percentage of them abandon their clothing and run free in designated areas.

If you have to take anything off, make sure that what is left is worth showing off?!? Like the Sexy Bastard by Buckler range of Briefs and Trunks now available from Fashicon's Summer Sale. This is where nippy sex-appeal and crotch comfort meet. In red, white and black Sexy Bastard by Buckler are (literally) all you need to survive the summer heat!?!?

Fila Vintage at Wimbledon?!?

Watching Britain's Andy Murray defeat  Stanislas Wawrinka from Switzerland tonight reminds one of the same adrenaline filled matches of  Bjorn Borg during the wonder years of 76' and 80' when he took five consecutive Wimbledon titles. One thing is for sure, the outfits are just as exciting as the stars themselves?!?

Already in the early 1970s, Fila manager Franchey had watched the young Bjorn Borg play at a tournament in Monte Carlo, being impressed by both his court performance and charisma. At that time, tennis hadn’t yet developed the pop culture for its star players as it has nowadays, and Borg promised to become the first such. As a matter of course, Franchey let Pier Luigi Rolando design a completely new, significant look for the aspiring youngster. The outcome was the legendary pinstripe polo shirt Borg started wearing in 1976. That garment, very much reminding of a classic baseball shirt, quickly became a well-recognized fashion statement that should basically define the look of the 1970s.

Fila had its shining new super star. Borg wore Fila throughout the world, apart from his home country Sweden. At Wimbledon, the Fila Borg Bj label became King Borg`s majestic signature look. Year by year we saw Borg winning the final in his pinstripe Borg Bj polo shirt with a green snap placket and Borg Bj shorts with a green-blue waistband, afterwards receiving the champion chalice in his trademark red Borg Bj Settanta jacket. So the Borg Bj label was the label of maximum success and highest honours, the label to be seen in, the holy grail of luxury tennis fashion - however, not many people could afford the price.

Today, Fashicon is proud to offer you the Fila Vintage Matchday Jacket for a limited offer of only £48.99?!? As part of the Fila Vintage range is Classic vintage shorts and the legendary Fila Vintage Del Sol pinstripe Polo Shirt, visit Fashicon.co.uk today and take advantage of our Summer Sale?!?

Fresh out of the box?!?

Fashicon is proud to bring you: Boxfresh, a very British way of life that spans the last two decades of youth culture.

In 1989 a lot of very culturally significant stuff was going on around the world.

In England, teenagers waited eagerly in motorway service stations for directions to fields in the middle of nowhere. Fields of dreams immortalized in the memory of the UK dance scene.

Boxfresh was born out of this… a hedonistic generation evolving through acid jazz, trip hop, drumb and bass into UK garage, grime and dub step.

Here’s a sneak preview of our Boxfresh T-shirts in some fresh colours perfect for summer! These are on sale now, so be sure to check out www.fashicon.co.uk today and get your Boxfresh T-shirt, while stocks last?!?

Sun-kissed madness?!?

There's no doubt that a rich bronze tan can do wonders for your appearance. Since many of us cant afford to go on holiday this year, a new survey has discovered that one in five sunbed users will be using them even more this summer. But how safe are they and what price are you prepared to pay to look good this summer?!?

Lets put it this way: Eight minutes on a sunbed with no sunscreen on is much worse than spending a whole day in the sun applying sunscreen regularly. It is crucial that you always wear a high SPF. A sunbed is an intense blast of radiation and you have no protection on your skin. Plus sunbeds damage skin tissue which causes premature ageing?!? Now isn't that defeating the purpose of looking good in the first place?!?

Fashicon brings you an alternative and much safer way of looking your best this summer. They offer you clothing and accessories from a hand-picked bunch of forward thinking brands such as Proper English, Junk de Luxe, Boxfresh, Villain, Modern Amusement, and Aem`Kei. Now you can enjoy the precious days in the sun and cover up with the best from Fashicon.co.uk. Looking good has never come at such a low price! Visit Fashicon today and trust us on the sunscreen!

Beautiful Junk?!?

The beatniks are the original motive for Junk de Luxe. In the US the beat generation was inspired by writers and poets who made existentialism popular. The young generation of fans gave rise to a whole new suit of armour: beards, torn and loose sweaters, loose turtleneck collars, worn slacks or jeans, crumpled corduroy jackets and shirts set of by unshined shoes. English tailoring became part of street wear existentialism and statements. Second hand fashion was born?!?

Junk de Luxe brings you street fashion with a hint of Savile Row tradition – and on top of that a dash of Rock´n Roll. Clean cut, authentic, and always of high quality, each garment is designed to stand on its own as a unique piece, rather than being designed according to trends or fashion clichés.

Junk de Luxe is designed to highlight your personality without overshadowing it.

Fashion changes but style remains, and Junk de Luxe walks the fine line with their designs. Visit www.fashicon.co.uk today and experience the art of combination with our Junk de Luxe range.
