In 1937 John and Isaac Miller realised a dream – to design a new revolutionary jacket. They designed a rainproof coat that has become the world’s most famous jacket – the Harrington G9.The Harrington G9 has now obtained legendary status after being worn by everybody from Elvis Presley and Steve McQueen to Frank Sinatra.
Legend has it that the G9 earned the nickname Harrington because it was worn by the character Rodney Harrington played by Ryan O’Neal in the 1960s television programme Peyton Place.
The G9 still turns heads today and has been worn by bands such as Franz Ferdinand and Razorlight. The jacket even features in a well known va va vroom advertising campaign staring Thierry Henry and a certain make of car!!!
