Place your bets as we list the worst fashion trends of 2008!?!

With 2009 now upon us, the fashion sins of last year have been well and truly resigned to the recycling bin!?! Here at Fashicon we decided to take a nostalgic wander through the worst offenders for 2008, so take a sneaky peek at the list below and make sure you haven’t got something criminal hiding in your wardrobe!?!

1. Last year saw a new breed of v-neck appear on the market - the deep v!?! Whilst we love the traditional v-neck the deep v was another matter altogether!! Seeing large amounts of chest hair on display reminded us more of medallion man rather than a fashion trend setter!?!

2. Bold shirts were everywhere during 2008 and some designs were definitely a print too far!?! Take the shirt with fake tattoo sleeves, let’s face it, if you don’t have the nerve to get a real tattoo – then playing dress up with a novelty shirt just looks kind of sad!!!

3. Our number 3 on the countdown was everywhere again during 2008, although sadly I fear it may well reappear on next year’s list too!?! The offender – over powering aftershave!?! Please guys remember – when you can be smelt over a mile away it’s just not sexy!?!

4. For some reason it became all the rage to wear shirt and polo shirt collars standing up during last year. No one would admit to starting this trend, and I’m not surprised as ‘popping’ your collar just makes you look like a naughty schoolboy!?!

5. One of the worst fashion trends in recent history is the Croc and it has made it to the top of our list for 2008 too!?! The original Croc has spawned millions of copies – and every single one of them looks equally hideous!?! Children can just about get away with wearing them, but seeing grown men walking around in Crocs is just too painful to watch – and don’t even get me started on Crocs with socks!?!

Here at
Fashicon we have the very latest menswear designs for you to choose from. Everything we stock has been carefully selected to bring you the best mix of the latest trends to ensure you always make a good impression!! Why not take a look at our website at www.fashicon.co.uk – we can guarantee you won’t find a Croc anywhere!?!
